what does everyone think of the pulse?
how would it compare to the evolver?
would it complement the monomachine?

the interface doesn't worry me, as i have a doepfer drehbank for programming.

the only demos i've heard on the net imply that it excells at cheesy 80's (the bad kind) sounds. I have read that it is amazing for bass, leads, sfx, etc. Anyone care to help resolve this paradox?

I got one, and don't use it much... (I don't like the user interface) I do like the sounds that it can make, but I just have not found a good work flow for it.

I've got one too and it's a nasty little electro fuckpig, tons of modulation options and a huge bass presence. I like mine plenty. Good sharp-edged sounds too.

There are lots of cheesy 80s demos online, IKWYM. Ignore those.

I'm not too into the 'ard-trance Vengeance demos either come to that. That's user error, it's not the Pulse's fault

Bad: The filters are a bit dry, but you can't have everything

A knobby controller of some kind takes care of all UI issues, and is a non-optional extra.

If you see one, buy one. If you don't like it, there's plenty of people who do...
so it's a low-risk purchase.

cheers
