also, i really dig this site and much of the conversation that takes place here. i try to help out when i can, but sadly i don't own any Elektron gear as of yet so i'm not a true 'Elektron Friend/User'. if i had the cash i'd pick up a Machinedrum. if it's rude of me to hang around here i apologize...

just put up four new tracks that seem a decent demonstration of what can be done with just the G2 by itself. while playing around last night with some tracks that i've been working on, i dropped the tempos down to 68bpm for some laid-back 'dub' mixes (? - not sure if that term's even appropriate). i hit record on my external CDR burner and started switching through 'Variations' by hand. these were recorded in one take straight off the mixer, using two or three multi-timbral 'Slots' each. like before, they seem to be drowning in Clavia reverb - i need to pay more attention to this when mixing. these are still pretty rough, i haven't really gone back to add much onto the patches since i did them a few weeks ago. i can come up with some detailed notes on what's going on if anyone's interested...
