damn. you've got my my dreamstudio. almost anyway. i want one more powerbook (or macbook) just for reaktor as stand-alone gear and a couple of external disks. a new soundcard would be nice also.
the box directly under the mixer is a hamptone HJFP2 mic/line preamp that I built. Its AWESOME. Running drum machines and synths through it is amazing, also its a great mic preamp. Bass sounds really good through it too.
to the right of that is just the power supply for my geffel um70's - vintage mics with original M7 capsules.
might as well keep on going - the top of the rack is my presonus central station, a passive monitoring device which is great.
below that are the trident channel strips that I racked.
below that are the Neve 1272's that I built with DI's so I can use them for drum machines and synths. These are probaby the fattest preamps I have.
below that are yamaha pm1000 channel strips that I racked, still need to add DI's but there is not much space!
then a patch panel.
then the LA2A tube compresser that I built.
than an ART PRO VLA which is amazing for the price
symetrix 522 - cheap, nasty little things with great gates
dbx 163x's - every one should have these
ADC patchbay
then my converters - presonus digimax and motu 896HD
power condish on the bottom
this is my deam rack, and has been designed for world domination. The rear is just as pretty as the front! The whole thing comes out to a firewire cable and a 3 prong power plug. Just plug it in and you have a class A recording setup ready to go! (too bad it weighs like 300 pounds)
