- MD SPS-1 UW MKII OS v1.53b
- MM SFX-60 MKII OS v1.21c
- On the MD, Prg Change is set to Out (Global Settings). If it's set to Off, the problem is eliminated!

Not sure I understand the problem here completely.

It would seem that if Prg Change is set to Out then the MD is properly sending program changes and the MM is following them correctly.

So is the bug that the MM is following the program changes or that A15 is playing on the MM and you expect A01 to play instead?

Hey, thanks for replying!

Basically, in the example provided, the following ought to be happening:

- MD plays A01 three times, A16 once, then repeats
- MM plays A15 three times, A16 once, then repeats

as specified in each machine's song structure. However, with Prg Change set to Out, MD instructs MM to 'disobey' the song structure and play the pattern that it (the MD) plays. I think it's a fault with MD's Global Settings.

I hope I described it more clearly now I got a reply from Elektron saying they'll deal with it this week

Bug with Scale: Fix, Midi Seq and Multi Trigger

I use the Multi Trigger Feature in "Seq Transp" Mode.
I use the internal machines together with the Midi Sequencer to control external Synths.
When I set "Transpose" for an internal machine track to "Scale: Fix" than this setting affects the corresponding track in the MIDI Sequencer when playing in Multi Trigger mode!

Example: when I set internal Track 3 to "Scale: Fix" because it`s a DPRO Beatbox I don't want to transpose, than the external Synth on Midi Sequencer Track 3 would also not transpose when playing Multitrigger on the keyboard.

I get what you're saying but I don't think this is a problem with the MD - it would be a problem with the MM side. The MD has no idea what device the MIDI (program changes) are being sent to. I could see where the MM might be smarter to ignore program changes if it is already in song mode. Mind you, the MD may suffer the same problem if it is the slave.

hi there i own a sps-1 fore some days now and today i realize for some unkown reason all kits-patterns play the same rythm in classic and extended i did a factory reset but that didnt do nada.. i am really sad anyone knows what happend????????????

ok, i have to clarify my first submission on FUNCTION+ROTARY (psuedo ctr-al)

os 1.52f md sps1-uw

1. have your choon playing

2. setup mutes and/or unmutes, but use the FUNCTION held option and exit
the mute page with those set up, but not triggered.

3. then use the FUNCTION+ROTARY (eg. FLTF to cut all low freq)

nothing happens.

NOW, if you DON'T have any staged mutes or unmutes it works of course!

PROBLEM.

I like setting up mutes and unmutes, cutting freq/adding delay/adding feedback
and then FUNCTION CLASSIC/EXTENDED to reset.

I realize there is a new OS. Does the new OS solve this?

If I move a piece of audio or a midi region (soft synth or external synth) around the arrange window of logic my machinedrum & Mono stops responding, ie no sound.

INP machines keep receiving input signal even after switching to a kit with no INP machines.

INP and RAM machines will not revert to default kit settings with [FUNCTION] + [CLASSIC/EXTENDED].
(They will do so visually but not aurally)

Parameter values in CTR-AL machine stop 1 step before extreme values.
(i.e., 1-126 and not 0-127)

Gate Box Reverb silences abruptly when reducing GATE parameter.
Select a Track / Load a percussion machine / Increase REV, leave everythig else as is. In Master FX > Gate Box Reverb, increase DECAY to 127, GATE to 127 (default). Trigger the track and soon after decrease GATE from 127 to some near value; the reverb gets cut abruptly.

Whist in 'SWING: ALL', individual swing tracks do not work. Same applies to 'ACCENT:ALL'.
New Pattern / Enter Swing Page / Increase swing percentage / Clear Swing: All / leave other tracks swung as predefined. Now, choose a percussion track and fill it with triggers (16/16). Start sequencer. Enter Swing and switch between Swing: ALL and Swing: Txx. Whilst in ALL, the swing does not work at all. (Kind of handy though..)
