Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones

JS, how are those DT770's working out for you?

I like them...I got the 80 ohm models and they run relatively well from my Duet. I feel I finally found a great pair of seeled cans... comfortable, sound great, and look cool too...with those fancy grey ear pads.

glad to hear they worked out. i love mine, but i am need of some new ones eventually. mine have had years and years of use.

Try to keep things as minimal as possible for live stuff (see *)

MDUW mk1*
Virus Indigo 2*
Blofeld*
behringer bcf fader controller *
mackie 1602 mixer*

Korg ea1 (mainly for sequencing and echo)
Bassstation rack
Vermona phaser
Emu Morpheus
midiverb 2
small stone phaser
mackie 624 monitors

Ivory 2 compressor

002 rack pro tools powerbook
reason 3 (rarely used now)

just off to buy a kenton midi merge so I can do more detailed sequencing in the studio.

nice studio Chiasticon. Your drum playing and recording/mixing sounds superb. Play drums myself and want to incorporate it into some of my tracks. I find it a big contrast going between real drums and a machine drum. Have you ever tried triggers?

thanks liveseq! it's definitely a contrast writing between the two. machinedrum usually has me making more "techno" beats whereas on live drums i just play straight-up grooves.

never tried triggers. i've enjoyed using electronic pads before tho (like the roland spd-s). i'd like to try an electronic kit sometime and have it trigger a machinedrum. sooo expensive tho!

please do explain
isn't the cp251 specially designed for the voyager? (has some weird scsi-type plug?)

hageir: nope. you're thinking of the vx-351 expander (or vx-351 for rack mount). the cp-251 just has cv i/o and adds an lfo, two attenuators, a multiple, lag processor, sample/hold and a four-way mixer to my ms-20 really comes in handy; even for little things like just attenuating the ultra-loud noise coming from the ms-20. it's also much cheaper (but *slightly* less full featured ) than buying an ms-50.

Hah, how funny, I was just talking about the R8 with a friend of mine and I mentioned that the Jazz Brush card was the best one!
(I had the 909, 808 and dry cards too)
