Lately I've been thinking that I can do a *lot* with just an MD-UW.

that's true, it's the reason why I don't have a lot of gear, I can just use the MD for everything!

I think I could really be pretty happy with just the MD-UW and maybe one synth. Something small with keys like a Microkorg. You can mangle the output of the synth so radically with the MD that you don't really need anything *too* fancy.

that's a great point. you can do a ton with just elektron gear. or just an md or mnm. there's been a couple times where i've sold off all my synths/keyboards/efx and just had elektrons around. it was nice (and looking at that gear list i posted, i'm contemplating it again) but i do love being inspired in different ways by different instruments, even if they share similarities in many ways. and having a handful of sonic options means it'll take longer to get bored with any one of them. that's my experience, at least.

also what's good about many instruments is that they don't always have to be in the spotlight, they can just do little things each..

the MD+MnM can be an overload sometimes (cut 'em some slack )

I basically only use a MnM and MDUW. It is rare that I use anything else.
