Haha, great! I can't count all the organs I've gotten in flea markets, from relatives, colleagues etc, played for a few hours, then ripped their guts out (springs, drum machines, rotating speakers etc) Whatever you do, keep the 'verb, they're fantastic.

And what about Alice Coltrane, does it remind you of her sound at all??

wow, i must be tired. i was thinking about Alice's death while i was writing that and out came Alive. anyway, the tonality of the Funster is very much like her 'Universal Consciousness' record. she definitely didn't use the Funster on that album, as the funster came out much later.

too soon to rip it apart. though grabbing the reverb and drum machine out of if sounds pretty rad.

Yeah, I figure I'll start simple and go from there...I've read the manual about 5 times. Excited to have a stereo unit for once.

Incoming: Yamaha DX200 (thanks for the enlightenment Anselmi ).

Not sure if it's a stayer, since it has a couple of major flaws (only fully programmable from software, FM engine only monotimbral, truly ugly box), but it has enough goodies at the price to be very interesting (6-operator FM, multimode filter. step sequencer with "motion recording", knobs).

I've had this txt file on my harddrive for a while so I guess it's about time I actually post it. The thing is that I have to much gear for my own liking, but some day I'll slim it down. Papertiger thinks I'll take about five years to decide what to get rid of, and I'm inclined to agree.
