i feel you. i find it hilarious sometimes to think about all the gear i have bought and sold to get to where i am at. there should be a thread about the gear journey. but it kind of gives me a headache to think about it.

i do know that my set-up is exclusively revolved around the performance aspect right now. i don't even have an audio interface at the moment. believe it or not i am more productive now than ever.

that's funny, i've been shifting from a live setup to a studio and have'nt felt more inspired and productive. i still dream of an esx1/emx1/kp3/sp404 live setup for just straight slamming tweaky techno. i like the idea of a gear list of stuff people have had and loved or not loved and sold or traded over the years. there are prolly a lot more stories in that than a current gear list. i know personally there are a couple things i let go of that i don't even want to think about let alone share with the world. might be good catharsis though...

I think that would get really ugly. I know for sure it would give me bad conscience for not making more music...

I just did this for myself, and it does get ugly! I did notice what pieces of equipment I have stuck with over the years, and there was a 5 year spell where I didn't buy/sell anything! Of course I didn't make any music in that period either . Now I'm back on the wagon (?)
