this actually applies to ALL MnM owners, not just the SFX-6 owners....
but anyway, my style is very melodic so normally I'll just come up with a few (or a bunch of) patterns based around a certain melodic theme and sound. then I'll try developing a progression from there that I like. that usually spurs more ideas for the rest of the tune and before I know it, I'm done!
