Elektron-Users

Hello all. Next Monday the 17th we'll be taking Elektron-Users offline for about a week. We're planning for a smooth transition. In the worst case scenario, we'll be down for two-weeks but I feel good about this move. I've been planning and working on this new site/migration for right 5+ months. woof!

Few things to keep in mind:

1. All avatars will be lost in the migration. We could have salvaged them but then new avatars are a different size, 155x75 - 500 KB to be exact.

2. Be sure to backup or save any PM's you may want to keep. PM's will be lost in the data transfer. Never fear, PM's will still on the new site.

3. All current signatures will be lost as well. You'll be able to create new ones, but we're no longer allowing for images to be used in signatures. I know, we're bastards!

The new site is going to be a wonderful new home for Elektron-Users. It fixes many of the bugs and problems we have on the current site. More importantly the new base structure allows for growth in the years to come.

Here's a little view into how posts look. Note that signatures are on the left now, under 'Posts':

Btw- thanks for all the work you put into this, actuel. I really appreciate it. This is my favorite board on the net. Easily.

Love the site! Can't wait for the new. Now if we could just be blessed with the new o.s. to dabble with for the 2weeks. lol

(I have a few tricks up my sleeve regarding web design and stuff like that)

Might want to post a link to this in all the forums, not just site suggestions. Some people only check the Elektron gear one, just to be safe.
