Ok, playing with it right now. Pattersn banks A - C really use a lot of ROM smaples and i have to say it really extends the sound of the MD.

Where the demo patterns of the normal MD are really cool, this makes this thing a monster. Phat BD samples, weird industrial sounds, you name it. The 32 preset samples are actually pretty good to my ears (althought most of 'em not really smaples you would normally use in a song). They could have made more work from the demo patterns themselves. But hey, it's only demo's anyways.

This is just after 10 minutes of playing though.

Would have been nice if the sampledump utility was available on the website like the manual says it is.

Will have to look for another way to dump the samples in there..........

That's only possible with the ram machines. (Ram machine are very cool btw). The ROM machines are loaded though midi sample dump.

huh - you can not save them into the ROM or edit them in the MD?

Don't think so, but that was pretty clear from the specs as far as i am concerned. The ROM machines are kinda like E12 machines. New fule for the MD.

The RAM machines are realtime recordable en you can resample the output (and also pre-listen what you recorded).

Maybe you can analog record but i just think this is not the way it works.

Nice to hear you got an brand new UW Hope mine comes back soon, i also thought the sample dump utility would be avaiable on 1st of june.
