I have 2. Got 1 as a trade for the monomachine. It's a nice idea but I've thought about trading 1 for a tanzbär. Sure there are plenty of times when I feel like more tracks would be good, it just seems overkill. I'd rather have a better variety of sounds.

Interesting... I'm thinking (i.e. trying to) trade my MonoMachine for a second Analog Four.

Personally Id probably spend the money elsewhere maybe a couple of the nice new korg VOLCA boxes to supplement what the A4 does.

I borrowed a friends A4 for a couple of weeks to work on sounds and sampling. It was a blast having two together. I tested out 8 voice polyphonic routing, as well as playing all the voices in unison using the same loaded Sound as well as different Sounds for textures. It also works out really nice if you want to have one A4 dedicated only for percussive sounds in a song. It could prove very useful if you have a lot of gear you'd like to control with CV as well.
I had the option to buy the 2nd unit but eventually passed. We've seen lots of guys here with 2 of the same Elektron machine before. If it works for your specific workflow, and you've mastered the device I'd say hell yeah do it. But I'll always choose diversity first before doubling up on gear.
