After selling my Drumtraks, TR 626 and RS-09, I finally scraped together enough cash to buy an Octatrack. So far I'm really liking it, even though I have yet to figure out many of the features.
I was checking out the midi side of the Octatrack with my Prophet 600 (newly upgraded so it receives midi CCs). I figured out how to write a midi sequence then switched back to the audio side. On audio track 3 I placed a hi hat and noticed that when I attempted to adjust the amp or lfo settings that it would send midi CCs to the prophet. I tried to find this in the manual with no luck. Do the sample tracks always send midi out? Can it be filtered some how?
