MD,MnM,A4,OT // Computer program 10 Years, 9 Months ago

I know that many people will groan about this, but why isn't there a computer program to control or backup (C6 is bare bones) any of these units?
I know it can be done since someone made the MD controller which works fine with the TM-1. I also know that part of the elektron experience is getting rid of the computer, but backing up and organizing patches, patterns, scenes, snapshots, etc would be SO MUCH EASIER with a computer. I can't tell you how many times I've lost my work. Is there a reason for this or is it simply the lack of manpower?
Cheers!

Who knows? Elektron don't care / can't be bothered.
AFAIK, the SysEx specs on the Elektrons are quite limited.
I am actively looking into all this....

the sysex specs for MD / MnM are awesome the sysex specs for OT / A4 are nonexistant
i really, really hope that they are going to implement proper sysex control ala MnM/MD for the A4.

But they can CERTAINLY do a proper patch/pattern/bank/snapshot manager at the very least. This is handled by sysex on all machines right now.
