This may be exceedingly obvious, but is your MD in "classic mode"?

sorry if this has been posted before. i think i've noticed a bug on my MM mk2:

usually when one track is solo'd, when switching to recording mode then back again (and sometimes it seems to happen randomly) that track will cut out, just become silent.

sometimes switching to another pattern or selecting another track sorts it out

has anyone noticed this or could my (brand new) monomachine be broken?

I have tested bug 2 - 4 and can confirm that i have the same problems on my machine (MK2). Cant test bug 1 right now... dont have any cables for the inputs here at the moment.

Just curious if you heard anything from Elektron regarding these bugs yet?

lol. NO.

you can't write parameter locks in classic mode.

here's what happens... i'm in 'extended' mode.. i select a step. write a bunch of P-locks... and when the sequence gets to that step.. nothing happens to the sound... i tried many different machines and nothing happens.. tried switching back and forth between classic and extended.. nothing.. tried soft reset.. re-installed the OS.... no luck... i may have an older version of the OS on my drive somewhere if i'm lucky.. if i do i'll just go backwards a version or two and see how that goes.. but i may be stuck with this OS as i probably deleted the older ones after updating...



edit: I emailed them about this today. this is a major bug imo.

anyone have a previous version of the MD OS they could email me?

You didn't write it so I have to ask if you have tried a factory reset? If it's only you having that problem then it's not very likely to be a bug I'm afraid. I have these OS versions:

Elektron_SPS1-1UW_OS1.50f.zip

Elektron_SPS1-1UW_OS1.52B.zip
Elektron_SPS1-1UW_OS1.52c.zip
Elektron_SPS1-1UW_OS1.53.zip

Let me know where to send any of them.

i zapped my MD a while ago to start fresh. it's a blank slate right now.

i'll try to factory reset and if no go i'll go w/an older OS.

er.. now i'm really fuxored... figures.. as soon as i say i've never had a problem it goes tits up.

so, did factory reset.. problems persist...

installed OS 1.50f and still problems.. don't know why..

but now some P-locks work and some don't but only one p-lock at a time ? very weird.

so, if i plock the delay amount on one note then plock the rev amount on another only one will have an effect... very friggin weird...

maybe i'll try to send the OS via sysex librarian instead of the C6 tool.

either way i'm kind of dead in the water so far...

^ This is bad. Ive read about a few problems recently directly following updates... not good.
