Yea, I would say, only if recording the entire file should one be using anything other than the Octatrack.
No editing outside of it, then things get too messy.
And if the file is recorded it should be recorded from the youtube, so we're all using the same quality. As is to say, one song is on the video, someone's not using a wav that's of higher fidelity.
The only reason to keep it 24 or 48 hour is to keep things moving. To make it a game, and nothing really serious

How much time would you need? would something posted on a Sunday night, and finalized by a Friday night be more suitable?
Yea 1 rule, only one video, for all submissions, no other audio sources. All audio sources must be from the video. And also, only Octatrack, even other Elektron devices are excluded. No external processing.
