Thanks!

agreed, it is a bit challenging...

Function + Mixer
turn midi clock and transport to on.

on MD turn tempo in to external and transport in to on.

This thread kind of fell apart, but (despite the name) it still seems the best place to post bugs.
So here's one I've found in .99E:

If you copy/paste from a page in grid edit mode to another page, and then function-shift the notes left or right, it reverts back the the page as it was before the paste, while still shifting the notes.

Hi

I received my Octatrack yesterday and I'm extremely happy and impressed.

I have come across two bugs so far.

1. When using a large sample (149mb) in a static machine, the waveform editor had quite a lag/delay when refreshing, and visually the start point didn't seem to reflect what I was hearing (as in peaks seemed too quiet/troughs sounded like peaks etc)

2. When using the compressor effect, I experienced several loud bursts of distortion when adjusting the mix level.

Cheers

I tested it with my up-to-date Ot (099E). And i came to the following result: If you open up a sample folder inside your audio folder (OT CF-Card) it "only" can display ca. 500 .wav files. So if you got a big sample collection you have to divide your library into for example folder like "A" "AN" or "A1" "A2".

Is there a workaround for displaying an endelss amount of samples?

Andy

99e

When opening a saved project my kick on track one is distorted.
Lowering the track volume won't help, reloading the sample does.

I'm having some trouble dealing with recording, which I'm sure is just my mis-comprehension of the manual...

Recording:

I place a trig on whatever track with an RLEN of max - and the trig only seems to record for a beat or two, no matter the input...Do you have to hold at least two buttons to record longer than this? The logic for me is that you place a trig, and it records without having to hold down buttons (track + whatever) - otherwise I'm missing the benefit? I've tried at least a dozen times to get my head around it.

Say I have my MD into A+B running at the bpm sent by the Octa - what is the best way to record a nicely trimmed loop first time using trigs?

Thanks guys.

This message I got after I edited a slice point.
Don't know what caused the crash.
After rebooting everything was back to normal.
