i like the idea of being able to go mobile with my elektron boxes. OT on the train - mmmm.

i wonder if there'd be any weird behaviour or possible data problems if you were using it when the battery ran completely down?

Yep - we had a discussion on this sometime back. My point of view was that a battery powered device would need to have a regulated output that was either 6v or off. Mind you i suppose the potential chaos of a failing battery might be interesting.
