I've got the new knobs on my MM and MD (and OT of course).
Much better feel than the old ones.

If you're careful, it's really easy to remove the knobs.

Damn! Didn´t know that you could replace the knobs, now I´ll never be able to tweak my MD and MnM without thinking about how it´d be with rubber knobs. But I REALLY don´t want to break anything. I haven´t had a problem with the knobs so far, so I´ll try to forget about this asap.

i swapped mine out with no problems, but as noted BE CAREFUL.

my methond was to pull straight up, while standing over the unit, also while turning the knob. never pulling to much. on the knobs that were trickier, i placed a butter knife underneath the knob to add leverage, but only just a little. patience and a steady hand are needed here.

Went to my MD after reading about replacement knobs and I really didn´t feel any need to get rubber ones. Maybe I´ve got super grip hands or you guys have greased your knobs up with dirty hands . Anyway, I can relax a bit now. But I still won´t be able to tweak without the thought of rubber knobs shouting from deep down in my brain. Along with all those other voices...
