Heh, thanks guys.

@JBUONACC: yes, i'll sort you one out. I'll upload the OT Set/Project too (though I assume that's the done thing with these Science Labs?)

No one's really definitively answered on the resampling thing. All I keep seeing is "I think X"

Well?

@ Kyroshift: Yes, you can use resampling, no external editing, effects, etc of any kinda. It all has to be down within the OT.

Perhaps the Science Lab details should be moved from the 4'th page to the first page?

About resampling, perhaps we should have two categories? One for work done from just the raw original samples and one for work that includes any resampled material, which really would allow for netherworld explorations.?
I dunno, just ideas. So far I'm having a great time with just the original samples but layering and resampling would be fun too..

Certainly is!

Neil, did you use resampling to create that?

Nope, no resampling at all. I think the Tracks are:

T1 = croaker
T2 = conga
T3 = spingle
T4 = conga
T5 = wavescan
T6 = 303 bite

1 64-step Pattern, no scenes, no cross-fading. Pretty much used all 3 LFOs on each Track and a liberal sprinkle of p-locking.

Because a few elements are controlled by RND LFOs and a few VERY slow ones, the Pattern is never the same twice. You can literally press Play and leave it looping (for ever!) and it will keep surprising you. That's exactly what I wanted to achieve - my idea was to see if OT itself could make a performance.

And some people complain that the OT is unusable

Total piece of junk. Really, what were those Elekton degenerates thinking? Yay, we can pitch shift samples. Isn't this 20011? lol

pps, will pay $500 cold hard cash for any unwanted Octatracks

(btw, I think this is going to be a groundbreaking showcasing of how versatile the OT actually is)

Oh no

I've just realised the folly of being lazy and recording the OT straight into the input on my MacBook - all the bottom-end is totally lost.
