thx neil, I actually bought the ot for loading in full samples and just playing around with them, so for me to actually sequence and think about doing music like this is so far out of my comfort zone, but I guess thats the best way to learn eh, any I think ill try again but a lot lighter this time , cheers ross

Checking all these out now, great stuff guys!

Ross don't worry! Stirling job!

Eko - Nice, dark textures!

Neil - Superb.

Sadly I have not touched my OT for a few weeks, been a bit snowed under, so I'm likely to be a bit rusty, hoping to squeeze an hour or two in today though

Not sure what to go for yet, might do an electro type thing, never know what will come out though I guess

Here's my attempt

http://soundcloud.com/darenager/the-blink-of-an-i

Kind of went in a techno direction.

1 pattern, used all 6 samples, here are the details

TR1 808 Conga - Used for kick and conga (predictable )
TR2 303 Bite - Looped up a single cycle and made bassline
TR3 Croaker - Turned into pad type sound
TR4 Spingle - Made into hats and snare
TR5 Toodle - Riff1
TR6 Wavescan - Riff2

I used track 8 as a master track for a bit of overall reverb (hope that was allowed )

Desperate to get 0.995 installed so have not really thought this through much (just did a take and recorded it) and also its a bit patterny repetitive (new phrase!!).

Great efforts guys!!!!

My first go. Was making another version, but that went out the window when upgrading to 0.995. ( i Should have read about sync to card before upgrading! hehe.)

My first go too... I thought I'd better record it before installing 0.995.
This track was made with only one sample. "toodle".

Cheers Neil! Actually I was quite surprised how quick I was able to load them up and get something done, I might have another go if I get the time before the dealine.

Some really interesting and cool stuff submitted so far, great machine and great talent!

Glad I did not get the chance to install the new OS yet, not that I have much work on it yet though.

Keep em coming fellas!

In other news, check this out and help out if you can:

Thanks! I enjoyed yours too!
In fact, I enjoyed most of the stuff people posted so far. It's really incredible to hear what everyone has come up with only those samples loaded; very different and interesting things. I can't believe that some people think the OT is not usable in it's current form... this proves the opposite!
