BUT what of my MD that is in Sweden right now? I must say that is the one thing that really kinda disappoints me. I am assuming that it will come back to me as a MD-UW Classic. I would think that before I plunked down $500 (plus another $200 for shipping!), Elektron would let me know that there was about to be an MkII version coming out. I could have spent that money on an MkII after selling my SPS-1 Classic.

dude I'm prayin for ya I hope I hope :-D

And why not retain the 12mm hieght, but include the TM-1 functions built in?

Why not put in a freakin' usb port...actually, that would probably be more annoying in a way than the extra 12 ROM slots.
I really need to consolidate my samples, put all of the one-shots into 1 or 2 slots....

1/2 the price?!?! That is depressing to think about. I guess we will see.

Selling it for 1/2 retail would be idiotic. The new upgrades aren't that great, and there is a new OS around the corner.

It's too bad I really want the user wavetable feature, otherwise I'd be happy to buy a mono off someone for $600.

yeah, it will be interesting. i'll be interested in seeing what UW classics are going for in the US on the 'bay.
cause i want to "upgrade" if the price is right.

Wow, how am I ever going to make music on my MDUW and MnM now that they are obsolete? :-D What makes them obsolete?

ob?so?lete

?adjective 1. no longer in general use; fallen into disuse: an obsolete expression.
2. of a discarded or outmoded type; out of date: an obsolete battleship.

Ah yes, but you left off the sixth definition, which is:

6. to make obsolete by replacing with something newer or better :-D

I don't think anyone would ever go as far as saying you couldn't make any music with the Classics.

True...but they are in order of relavence. I use outdated versions of Live and Logic and to me its no big deal. I'm not one to use every feature on every machine...I just make music and learn features as I need them.

haha i am sure you can still use them, but bieng the elektronic music freak i am always trying to stay ahead by getting the newest software for making the newest sounds i would have to get the newest elektron gear . my MM without sampling is pointless compared to the new version. its like running reaktor 3 when u can run 5 with kore. I guess it depends on what style of music you are making in order to decide if its worth upgrading to the newer machines. and also i cant have one slim machine and one fat machine haha. looks silly on stage.
