There is no scoop, he's reminding people why we have MKII versions in the first place.

luckily! i would hate it to buy already a new version.

It never seems to stop. Make a good instrument and don't adjust this anymore.

What elektron does with the upgrades of the firmware is supercool but don't make 10 MD versions

Make a complete new instrument then, and that's what they did OT

Peace Love Elektron

Microtiming and more Ram is all it needs to be THE uber-MD. And this wouldn't even canibalize on the OT.

Correct. On the introduction of the MKIIs there were mile-long threads with posts from MKI owners that were "disappointed" and "let down" by Elektron for releasing the MKIIs, while the fact was that, like Tarektih explained, the upgrade was a sheer necessity for the continued production of the instruments. I just didn't want to see this kind of storm appear here again, considering the subject of this thread.

I asked Elektron on Twitter what they were going to work on after the Octatrack; a MD or MnM mkIII, or something new like a poly synth. Obviously they told me that they were going to leave me hanging, but that they were working on "something." pretty much as I expected to hear. But reading why the mkII machines came outing the first place, that makes me speculate even more about what they could be working on lol,

A Virus-fighting groove box with an awesome sequencer? who knows.

On the more realistic front, I can't wait to get my Octatrack and a MnM mkII in a month or so.

They are working on a machine that warps a club full of people into mutant demons before melting their minds. Code name: Project Hectotrak.
