Anyone know a good bulk sample rate converter for Mac OS X? I need to make about 1,000 samples 16 bit from 24 bit.

If you have Tiger, then you might try looking into the 'Automator' app built into OS 10.4 and using this with an existing application. Automator is pretty much designed for custom batch jobs.

don't know if there's an OSX verision, but cool edit pro 2 has a batch sample rate convert function. perhaps adobe audition does this too...

I have Tiger...but what do you mean by using Automator with another app?

Upon closer inspection, this seems like it would be an mf to do. It is possible, through automator, to grab a selection of files and instruct any application to process them accordingly. There is built in support for 'popular' apps and Apple apps...however, if one were so inclined, a custom applescript could be authored to send a batch of files through any application and instruct that application to do 'x' to each file. Sounds scary, but I've seen it done for other custom batch jobs.

Huh?

I would suggest getting a copy of Bias Peak. I'm sure there is batch processing. It's a good affordable tool for audio on a Mac.

I have the LE version...but I'm not upgrading just for this function.
