These are the translucent black cheeks and they are very awesome. As far as me not liking anything about them, I can't say that there is a single thing. They do exactly what they were meant to do! I do like the wood cases better because, well, they are wood but these are so sleek that they almost seem of Elektron design! If you didn't know anything about Elektron and saw one of their synths with these cheeks on it, you'd swear it was part of the design from day one!

He has a few different colors, including clear.
I picked up the trans. black ones so I could throw some LED light strings under and still be able to see 'em blinkin & glowin. I figure that, with the lights, I could change the color kinda. Without lights, it's just a black piece, which stays out of the eye's way.

Curious to see the LED´s in action. Post a picture of the LED installation when you are finished, if you feel fine to share your (secret) idea.
Maybe clear is a good choice for the Octatrack. I am a little afraid that possible scratches or dirt/dust might look not good on a clear one though. Black with some nice LED might be a good choice. Any thought of which LED´s to choose?

I can vouch for this guy! I got end cheeks for my modular. In fact, his end cheeks are the reason why I got into modulars. Often, the case is the most expensive point of entry, but pro-modular end-cheeks + Tiptop Audio z-rails made it affordable.
Here's a tip: if you find your MD sliding around a bit, pick up some of those rubber feet (radioshack has 'em) and put them on the end cheeks. Problem solved!
