Strange question, but does anyone know if you can change the behavior of the A4, so that when you are playing live and you hold a key then play another key and release but you've still got the first key held, it doesn't re-trigger the first key again?

I'm asking because I just got a midipal, and am using it in poly mode. When holding three note chords and playing a one note melody it seems to do this behavior sometimes of re-triggering a lower note when one is released. I'm not actually sure if it is the midipal or the A4, or me being stupid... probably the latter.

Anyway, the A4 sound so good being played as a poly synth! Lush pads to be had. Its also great setting up arps on each track of varying lengths and speeds and playing polyphonically via the midipal for some poly rhythmic sound scape heaven.

not sure how the MIDIPal does handles note priority.
with my app, the rules for poly rotation are:

- on note on, play the note on the next free voice. if no voice is free, free up the oldest held note.
- on a note off, free up the note's voice.

in my tests, this worked consistently (in poly mode at least... unisono mode needs an update)..

hmmm, yeah from what i gather in the manual that's how the midipal works as well.

are you doing this with the a4's mini keyboard or an external keyboard?
