Ah PT...I think Neptunes beats are harder to make then people realize. There is perfection in that simplicity. I guess IDM-ers think of hip-hop as simple, but really...to do it well, and to be innovative, takes alot of work. It is easy to make a hip-hop beat, it is hard to make a great hip-hop beat. If you listen to people like DJ Premier in the early to mid 90s... so simple on the surface, but even when people tried to bite his style, they couldn't do it right. When it comes to simplicity, the greatness is in the minor details.

I've had Deepchord presents echospace on repeat all week. It's so warm and deep. Now I'm lusting after a Prophet 2000 sampler; apparently the soul behind deepchord.

it's great, I just ripped it off of bleep.com, in crappy 96kbps quality
but it's actually pretty good
