I am a new member and owner of a machinedrum but i have been watching this site for quite a long time as i have been interested in buying a Machinedrum

I found really chaotic and confusing the fact that in a single section of the forum ELEKTRON GEAR) you can find posts for two different instruments...

This is really counter productive.

And it is going to be worse (it is already becoming..) with the release of Octatrack

Please MAKE SEPARATE SECTIONS for Machindrum, Monomachine and OCtatrack!!!

+1 as well, though we'd always want to maintain a general Elektron Gear section. Lots of posts concern interconnection of MD/MnM, and now that the OT is upon us I'm sure discussion of these issues will skyrocket.

As far as I know the site is going to have a bit of an overhaul in the future... until then enjoy it as it is, explore the wiki and files sections for machine related tips and tricks.

I feel that. I can already see a lot of new user accounts here just to ask questions about the MIDI flow & audio chain of command for the 'trinity'. It's going to be wonderfully hectic here for the next wee bit.

thanks for the suggestion -- I think it's a good one. give us some time and hopefully we can get it done sooner rather than later. . .

. . . or at least before 12/20!

No, it would break the forum up.

As it is now everyone is in the same group which I believe creates this nice community.

Why fix somethin that aint broke?

If a neewb cant do a little searching and is confused then som nam nah (tough luck)

As mention, for missing the machinedrumdjproject....

I tend to search the forum for interesting topics by bookmarking the MORE link on the right hand side.

The big thing, as with any forum, is really good subject headings.

This site rocks.

peace

Ha so true. Try going to Gearslutz and typing in anything you actually want to learn/read about...

Agreed, we don't get THAT many threads per day here IMO.
