I just got newsletter from JRR shop and it includes banner that says " All Elektron prices are going up on September 16th "

I emailed to JRR to ask about this and got a reply :

Hello *****,

Elektron is raising their prices. We'll be offering 15% off their new prices at that time.



WTF are elektron doing ? I'm in wait to see if they will offer deal like last year on their products and here this ? Price rise ?!

Any one know something about it ?

No nothing; but could be to do with exchange rate adjustment.

Hmmm.

The European Economy is a mess and most probably adjustment because as low as the American$ has maintained over last 5+ years, the Euro has fallen to not be too far off from USD currently. That would easily equate to goods made in Europe are costing more to make, then there's the VAT to take into account for greedy bankers whom control everything, taking more off top in export fees.

Elektron is a Swedish company and make their accounting in Swedish Krone (SEK), not in Euro (and SEK is not linked to EUR). They most probably purchase their sub-components in SEK (local market), Euro and Dollars, so that means rates can have influence. The Krone/$ rate was approx 0,150 one year ago, now around going toward 0,155. That may explain some correction. I am working for a Swedish company and we will also increase our prices, around 4% in october, due to raw material prices and energy cost increases.

Correct. Due to currency fluctuations and production cost prices need to be increased.

for gods sake i have bought all elektron macjines so far

..but it could also mean that something new is coming on their catalogue

probably not as soon as we hope.
