Hi there,
I tried to upload my january 06 MnM contest entry and it took a while, as if it was uploading, but then gave me an error saying "MIME type unknown not supported" or something like that...any help?

What is the file extension of the file you are trying to upload?

It's just an mp3. I haven't updated my browser in a while, I'll try again in a while.

If you continue to experience issues, please let me know step-by-step what you are doing to upload the file.

I tried from my work computer running OS X Firefox v1.0, and got the same result. I know that both versions of firefox that I've tried were out of date, but I have successfully uploaded stuff to this site before so something must have changed. Here is the exact sequence of events:

Clicked the "download" option on the main menu bar.
Clicked "submit download".

Filled out the Download Title, Upload File (local file with mp3 extension), Category (Mnm Jan06 contest), and a brief description, then clicked Submit.

After a delay of approx. 15 seconds, it gave me this error briefly before redirecting me back to the downloads page:

"Errors Returned While Uploading
MIME type not allowed: application/x-unknown
If the page does not automatically reload, please click here."

I updated Firefox to latest windows version, same result.

I made a modification to the Jan 2006 MnM contest category, and was able to upload an mp3. Please let me know if it works for you.

It still doesn't work, gives same error....I should mention that I received this same problem a few days ago trying to upload a different sound file to the MD sound examples category, so it doesn't seem to be category specific.
